As a technical examiner in the Vancouver Technological Crime Unit my responsibilities included providing assistance to investigators with seizure, imaging and analysis of computer storage media. I was also responsible for investigation of pure computer crime such as hacking. I provided advice to investigative units on technical computer matters. I lectured on various computer crime topics to police agencies, post secondary institutions and public venues.

As a Commercial Crime investigator my responsibilities included directing or conducting commercial crime investigations including bankruptcy, securities and income-tax crimes, corporate and business frauds, and organized white-collar crime. In 1997 I received training in the forensic examination of computers and began performing the duties of a High Tech Forensic Analyst as required. In October 2001 I was assigned on a full-time basis to the High Tech Crimes Unit within CCS.
