Work independently and together in a fast paced environment being the equivalent of a Swiss army knife in the systems administration world. With thoughtful consideration towards security and client usability we successfully created a simple and sound network with multiple layers of security.
Installed and administered both Linux and Windows 2003 servers running web applications like Apache, IIS, Ruby on Rails/Mongrel, PHP, etc. Behind those I installed and managed backend databases running Mysql 4/5 or MSsql 2000/2005.
IE runs Postfix with a custom filtering configuration with Spam Assassin and various real time ban lists. DNS is provided through BIND, and authentication through LDAP. IE is currently using Juniper firewalls onsite and Netscreen firewalls for many of our clients. IE also work over the phone and on site with our clients administering their domain controllers, firewalls, exchange servers, and workstations.
