Chris Pesotski is a veteran of over 15 years in higher education. He has worked in financial aid, athletics and enrollment management. Currently he leads the Office of Student Financial Services at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
In his first year at UArts, his team doubled customer satisfaction. He has led a team that brought in three consecutive record classes under budget while maintaining excellence in customer satisfaction. He recently combined the student billing and financial aid offices to increase customer service and reduce costs.
Chris has experience in both public and private institutions, and has served the industry as an executive board member for the NJ Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, a board member of the NE Association of Student Employment Administrators, a committee member for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and an advisory board member for NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, College Board PowerFAIDS, Citizens Bank and SallieMae Pennsylvania.
Chris has spoken and consulted on athletics and financial aid, leveraging strategies, retention, ethics in higher education technology innovation in enrollment management and student employment. “I have learned a great deal from my mentors in the student aid industry and I enjoy sharing successful strategies with colleagues wherever I can.” Chris has worked previously as the director of financial aid at Burlington County College and in various positions at Widener University and Cabrini College.
Chris holds a M.Ed. in education from Widener University and a BA in English and communications from Cabrini College. He is a member of the D3hoops.com Hall of Fame, an EOF Champion, and a Chair Academy graduate. Chris won a Jasper award for co-creating a segmenting marketing plan to implement the NJ STARS scholarship program. The father of two children, John, 8, and Emma, 5, Chris resides in Moorestown, NJ.
