Mortgage Accounting:

Managed all accounting aspects of three mortgage bank/broker companies. In 2005 and 2004 the three companies had combined loan volume of over $1 billion with combined revenue of over $16.8M and $18.0M, respectively. Account for two warehouse facilities with line of credits totaling $118M. Duties consist of preparation of all financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles, various month end reports, calculations of loan officer commissions and bonuses, month end journal entries and reconciliation’s, approving and posting staff accountant’s work. Prepare annual budgets in accordance with homebuilding starts and closings. Revise and analyze budgets monthly. Primary contact with external and internal audits. Perform all functions to renew licenses with HUD, Arizona and Nevada. Assist in all new hire activity and other HR functions such as timesheets and employee problems. Currently managing a staff of ten that includes the accounting department and funding department.

Homebuilding:

Account for various Joint Venture projects and wholly owned projects. These activities included cash management, job cost entries, budget revisions, internal billings, review of G/L, Financial Statements, and monthly reporting packages to partners. Assisted with various year-end projects including, but not limited to, preparation of reports for the year-end audits. Maintained the entire companies borrowing bases with three banks, updating them weekly and requesting draws when necessary.

Contract Admin:

Accounted for all A/P transactions for various projects. This included input of invoices, monthly draws, and making sure that the bills were paid in a timely fashion.
