Reaching urban markets with culturally relevant marketing communications strategies has been the goal since Chance Goldston founded HOTMETAL Creative in 2000.
Notable work from the agency includes the “Take Time for the Vine” campaign for the Historic 18th and Vine Jazz District in Kansas City, Missouri, for which Chance received a National Silver Microphone Award in the “resorts and tourism” category.
Chance also developed the 2006 African-American tourism campaign for the state of Missouri. “VISITMO” featured Buck O’Neal, the late, legendary baseball great of the Negro Leagues.
Additional award-winners from Chance Goldston include campaigns for large and small companies — Agilent Technologies/HP, Compaq, Champion Papers, Nazdar Inc., MTV, Media Metrix, Sprint Corporation and Kansas City Power & Light.
His degree in advertising/communication from Washington State University was followed by design studies at The School of Visual Concepts, Seattle. Working in leading Seattle, Chicago, and Boston design boutiques, Chance developed successful campaigns for retail, paper, technology, finance and nonprofit industries. He has received numerous industry awards for his design/communications programs.

HOTMETAL Creative adds fire to your product or service.
We do it by coming in off the street with fresh ideas — in from the outside, unfettered by inside-the-box thinking. We bring the energy of the city, the eclectic urban energy that hums with ethnic and cultural diversity … and with history, hope and imagination.
That’s our neighborhood, the urban milieu. It’s where we live, shop, send our kids to school and seek entertainment. We aim to leave our mark here. And we can help you leave yours too.
