Dr. Catherine Baker-Pitts had a full-time private practice in New York City specializing in eating disorders and other women's issues. While in practice, Dr. Baker-Pitts also wrote and edited for psychoanalytic journals. She also taught Object Relations theory at NYU and at The Women's Therapy Centre Institute.
PhD , Clinical Social Work , 2002 — 2008
Dr. Catherine Baker-Pitts' dissertation explored the relational reasons for and consequences of cosmetic surgery for women. She is currently expanding this work into a book. Dr. Pitts is always interested in talking with women about their surgical experiences and dilemmas.
