After a career in the litigation support industry, Carl became a certified Cobol, Fortran, Assembler and PLI programmer. This led him to a career in database design. He was a pioneer in application design, development and instruction in RDBMS.
After several years in sales, sales support, technical support and product management, Mr. Frappaolo founded and was CEO of Conversion Technologies, one of the first companies to develop automated products to help organizations migrating from 3rd generation programming languages to 4th generation languages.
Carl then founded the Delphi Group. He was fundamental in establishing this firms market research, consulting and education practices. He designed the knowledge management, information and workflow process solutions (including information architectures) for many Fortune 1000 and branches of state and federal government offices around the globe.
After Delphi was acquired by Perot Systems, Mr. Frappaolo staid on for three years, until leaving to establish the AIIM Market Intelligence division, within AIIM International, where he created the AIIM Market IQ series. After a year at AIIM, he founded another consultancy, Information Architected.
He is the author of four books on electronic document management systems and knowledge management: EDMS: A Portable Consultant, Smart Things to Know About Knowledge Management and ExecExpress on Knowledge Management and Knowledge Management.
Carl had presented the keynote address at hundreds of industry tradeshows, user conventions and national and international symposium.
