Application Developer and Web Producer at EDS
Norfolk, Virginia Area
Brandon has an ongoing love affair with the Internet. Where some see web pages, he sees opportunity for effective communication. Where others see complex data, Brandon sees paths to simplification. Brandon is striving to be the person that takes you from "Please fill out this form and check your e-mail" to "Here is what you were looking for all along."

February 2008 — Present (1 year 6 months)
In February of 2008 I started additional duties as an application developer with our web team. I am now responsible for building and testing web applications in C# / ASP.Net as well as my normal Web Producer responsibilities. Applications I have helped maintain: the Content Management System (CMS), the Request Management System (RMS). I have also been responsible for building various web forms used for surveys and Computer Based Training certificate tracking.

February 2007 — February 2008 (1 year 1 month)
As a web producer I was responsible for daily maintenance of two web sites on the Navy / Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). Maintenance would include converting raw text and images into markup for use on these web sites. Along with maintenance I was also responsible for the delivery of a weekly e-mail newsletter. This was coordinated with personnel in Marketing. I also assisted with replying to end user questions via our group inbox. Typical questions included requests for access to our web sites and questions about web site content.

February 2006 — February 2007 (1 year 1 month)
I created Computer Based Training (CBT) and printed training materials for USMC, USN, and EDS personnel. The topics I covered would range from general usage to specialized technical knowledge. I was routinely tasked with meeting with engineers and other technical personnel to gather required information.

January 2005 — February 2006 (1 year 2 months)
This was my starting position at EDS. I worked as a help desk agent providing technical assistance to USMC and USN personnel. Assistance would range from simple password resets to more complex technical solutions requiring remote assistance. Any issues that could not be solved at my level were escalated according to documented procedure.
Every step required to solve an issue was documented in our ticketing system. Approximately my last six months on the help desk were spent monitoring the Mission Critical queue and training new help desk agents.
