Brad is a Research and development engineer with 29+ years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of technically sophisticated electronic circuits and systems. His skills include both technical competence as a circuit/system designer/analyst and the ability to manage pre-production research and development projects to successful completion. He has extensive experience in the fields of Military, Medical, Aerospace, Commercial, and Consumer Electronics.
Since coming to BATC in 2004, Brad has participated as a reliability analyst in many key programs including KEPLER, OMPS, WISE, PHANTOM, GMI, Deep Impact, Orbital Express and WFC3.
Prior to joining the BATC team, Brad began his career in 1978 with 10 years in the Avionics Lab at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB), and another 4 years in the Weapons Lab at Kirtland AFB, until 1990. This was followed by 14 more years as a consultant and contracting engineer during which time he participated in the startup of 3 engineering companies, and completed some significant work in Factory Automation, Chemical Plant Remote Control, and Distributed Motion Control systems.
Brad has earned the Air Force Achievement Medal for his work at WPAFB and a Quality Performance Award from BDM Corp for his work on the Argus Program at Kirtland AFB. He was presented with a “First Shaving” award from MacDonnald Douglas for his work on the F-18e Assembly Tool, and has been awarded 5 patents (with another 3 pending), for inventions in the Medical Simulation Based Training arena.
Brad held a music scholarship at CSU for 7 years specializing in the French Horn and Trumpet, and has a continuing interest in Music (Keyboards) and Art (Computer Graphics and Animation). He continues studying and experimenting at home in the areas of Biofeedback, Imbedded/Distributed/Interactive Motion Control, Rapid Prototyping and Computer Game development.
