I have recently completed a degree in Civil engineering at the University of Surrey and passionately wish to continue this as a career in the area of water treatment and all aspects of managed water.

(But in between I am just looking for life experiences)

Because I wish to gain enough experience so that I will become of use to agency's such as Red-R in times of crisis.

Furthermore I have 1 year of experience as a site engineer at Hampton Advanced Water Treatment plant, where I dealt with all on site activities such as plant, labor and health and safety management, liaising with both client and designer.
Later I worked in Costain's technical services department where I designed form-work and false work and other temporarily works such as retaining walls for on going Civil engineering projects.

Also when not employed in a Civil engineering role,
So I have been known to moonlighting as a social media consultant (see below).

As you can see I am a formally trained Civil engineer, which give me a logical approach to any project.

I am a social media consultant/trainer i.e. I help business set up and run social media campaigns.

I can also help you with basic website issues to make your site more accessible by your customers.

The best interest of the project are always at heart, although that has a wide area for creative licence.

I have an enquiring mind and will look for alternative and innovative solutions where others may be defeated, so you will be presented with ideas and propositions rather than problems.

This has lead me to the world of social media because through it you can really connect with your customers.

Having spent the year on-site, I was interested to see how the office side worked, and asked for a 2 month placement.

· Designed and Checked formwork and other temporary works design
· Auto CAD drawing the various formwork, falsework and temporary works design

June 2007 – June 2008 (1 year 1 month)

· Worked on site supervising others (up to 15 men at a time), working with a multi-cultural team
· Managed subcontractors on site and carried out "toolbox talks" each morning, telling them the day's plans and health and safety considerations
· Managed materials - estimating and ordering ahead
· Setting out/quality control of the final product
( I am a very confident and competent surveyor)
· Managed quality control of concrete - both on-site (pre-pour and after set) and off-site
· Wrote and evaluated method statements and risk assessments both for main contractor (Costain) and various subcontractors, improving if required.
· Kept site diaries - accounted for all the site labour, materials, disputes/incidents and change of contracts

Where I worked on the Darwin Centre 2, at the Natural History Museum, as the subcontractor site engineer.
This project was completed on time and on budget.
