Ben Overmyer’s Summary

As a web and creative services professional, I've been involved with social media and Web 2.0 for the past three years. With Science Applications International Corp., I was part of a very small team that developed an Oracle Application Express app designed for easy access to a wide variety of product information. With SAIC and later SGT, I helped design, develop, and promote a web tool that provided users with custom-tailored geographic satellite imagery. Also with SGT, I redesigned and revamped the internal message board and issue tracking systems to make them more efficient, easier to use, and more useful in general.

In my spare time, I write blog posts on my personal website, write articles and create graphics for my game company's monthly newsletter/e-zine, manage the art side of said game company, write Wordpress plugins, do heavy combat in the Society for Creative Anachronism, play World of Warcraft, and do myriad other things which would take forever to list.

As for professional goals, I want to improve the world, one website at a time.
