I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Colorado State University. Prior to arriving at Colorado State University, I worked as a post-doc with Professor Neville Moray. Before that I received my PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Oregon, where I worked with Professor Michael Posner and Professor Steven Keele. I have a number of publications related to both basic and applied aspects of cognition and human performance. I have been a co-author on a total of over 70 publications, reports, and conference presentations. I have also served as an expert reviewer for 17 different major psychology journals, and for the National Science Foundation.
The main focus of my research is on skilled performance and skill acquisition. I am currently part of a U.S. Army funded project looking at training knowledge and skills, with this Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative featuring investigators at University of Colorado, Boulder, Carnegie Mellon University, and Purdue University.
