Senior Strategic Consultant at Belgacom NV
Antwerp Area, Belgium
MBA graduate with significant international Strategy, Marketing and General Management experience involving People Management and experience in setting up new things (Business Development), is now looking for a new more internationally oriented challenge in Strategy and/or Marketing.
After working in Greece for 3,5 years where I participated in setting up and leading a joint venture (1995 – 1998) and was involved in setting up operations across the world and in creating a turnaround in the Swedish operation, I returned to Belgium in order to take on the coordination of all Marketing activities across the company’s affiliates worldwide. Next I moved to Telenet, in order to check my worth in big organisation, where I was hired to do Business Development for the Internet and MultiMedia department. After 14 months I was headhunted to go and work at Belgacom Mobile (Proximus). At Proximus I also got selected for the Vodafone Global Leadership Programme, consisting of an enduring selection process to identify the worldwide High-Potentials for future “Global Leaders” at Vodafone, which sponsored a distance learning MBA from which I graduated in October 2005.
In 2006 I got a job at Belgacom Group as a Senior Strategic Consultant in order to analyse new business opportunities at group level, covering mobile, fix, internet and TV next to more potentially disruptive opportunities. I have also worked on the bid process for the Second Mobile License in Qatar, which has given me some interesting experiences in doing business in the Middle-East.
