Archie Burkel’s Summary

My goal is to become a well known motivational speaker and hat model. I believe a hat is more than a hat. It symbolizes self-esteem and unites people of all ages, religions, and nationalities. I have the life experience and hatitude to carry this message beyond the borders of my beloved Charleston SC. What I have done through the creation of The Hat Ladies--Ladies of all ages who love hats of all colors-- has made a difference in my community, the lives of my members, and in my own life. Furthermore, I welcome the formation of Hat Ladies chapters throughout the U.S. under our auspices.

  I have invaluable tips that start from the top of the head (hat, hair makeup) to the body (wardrobe, nutrition, exercise) down to the feet (shoes and other accessories).

  I created The Hat Ladies in an attempt to return the hat to the forefront of fashion. My Organization gives women of all ages the confidence and occasions to wear hats of all colors. We network at our monthly luncheons and hatpy hour, and we give back to our community through a wide range of volunteer activities. Thus our compassion is as important as our fashion. I coordinate and organize all aspects of The Hat Ladies and have received local and national attention and honors.

  I have created a simple, yet effective program for helping others write their memoirs. It gives them the confidence and organizational skills to record the people, places, and things that have impacted their life. While their writing may be good for posterity, its greatest value is to them.
