Annemarie Shrouder’s Summary
Annemarie Shrouder is a diversity and inclusion consultant and the founder and President of Building Equitable Environments (Beeing.ca) – a company that helps organizations acknoweldge difference and ignite potential from the inside out.
Annemarie has been a teacher and a curriculum reviewer, and is the co-author of a book published by the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario. She has written policy documents for school boards and not-for-profits, was a speaker at last year’s G-Force Career and Diversity Forum and this year's Out oon Bay Street conference, and has developed training programs. Beeing.ca provides customized diversity and inclusion training, support and policy development.
Annemarie holds a Masters Degree in Equity Studies (OISE/UT), is a writer, and a radio host, and has edited women’s magazines in the LGBT community. Her focus on personal bias awareness challenges people to examine their identities and ways of seeing and being in the world. Beeing.ca works from the inside out – individually and organizationally – to create meaningful change in forward-thinking organizations.
