Currently looking for a job...
Since 1980 I have worked in a wide range of Wireless Telecommunications and (RF) Network Planning and Optimisation (Optimization) positions worldwide spanning over 20 years and covering the design and rollout process all the way from definition of requirements, dimensioning, propagation model tuning, nominal network planning, candidate evaluation and technical site survey through to datafill, integration (ncell, freq planning, layer 3 and KPI analysis) and optimisation. My experience includes: RF/Cell Planning and Design, Dimensioning, Optimisation and Quality Control of 3G WCDMA (UMTS), GSM, PCN, TETRA, PMR and a wide range of military area and long/short haul point to point networks (including HF/VHF/UHF/SHF and Satellite ground segment). My job titles have included Senior Engineer, Consultant, Team Leader, National Planning Manager, Technical Architect (RAN), Head of Network Planning services and Yeoman of Signals (R.Signals/British Army).
Throughout the past 5 years whilst running my own business I have amassed an abundance of practical business management and commercial experience whilst continuing to develop my project management and technical skills; I have always kept up to date with technological developments in the mobile arena. I would be more than happy to undergo any level of technical cross-examination in order to demonstrate my wealth of knowledge and skills.
Since the beginning of this year I have devoted my time entirely to training/revision/study in WCDMA, GSM and TETRA Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, air interface, dimensioning, design, traffic/capacity planning, network (RF) planning, Optimisation, performance management, RF propagation, Antenna theory and Link budgeting (link budgets) in order to ensure that my skills remain at a very high standard.
If you are seeking a very loyal team player and leader, who is not afraid to get his hands dirty when necessary and who has excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, wide ranging experience, technical expertise, integrity, commitment and the ability to make things happen then please get in touch...
