I have taught social research methods at Columbia University for many years - now I am retired and working on my own research projects (mainly library research, searching professional journals on topics that interest me, using the social science citation index, etc.) Topics of interest: spread of economic policy ideas in professional, elite and mass media; methods for studying public opinion; new conceptions of socialism and worker-management in the aftermath of the collapse of Communist systems and the problematic state of social-democratic reformism; theories and research on the role of elites in society.
