Alethea Hannemann’s Summary
Experienced consulting product manager helping professionals and corporations to engage with nonprofit organizations on critical capacity-building projects.
Alethea brings fifteen years of professional writing and project management experience to the Taproot Foundation. As Product Manager, Consulting Services, she works to develop new practice areas and service grants, then devises the processes, project plans, and resources that help volunteer teams succeed in their work with nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Taproot, Alethea worked for many years as a content developer for Boston and Bay Area software companies; she also pursued freelance projects with a range of clients, from niche retailers to national science associations. Earlier in her career, she worked as a college instructor and as a grant writer and administrator with a nationally recognized nonprofit press. Her volunteer work has included tutoring initiatives and home visits with the elderly, and she is an avid supporter of all things outdoors. Alethea holds a BA and an MA, both in English literature, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
