What is experience design?
Experience design builds on the disciplines of User Experience and Usability. Usability work strives to make products, be they tangible objects, websites or services, intuitive and functional. User Experience (UX) takes into consideration Usability, but deeply considers the context and utility to the end user. Experience Design (XD) is another step further. XD not only takes into consideration Usability and UX, but also designs across multiple touch points to make sure that goals are aligned across stakeholders and that needs are being fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
