Having spent a number of years in the profession, I moved into the 'real world' in 1986, initially with Dairy Crest, and then with Fyffes Group, as the Chief Accountant of their flagship Birmingham operation, with a turnover of some £30 Million, and a team of 28 staff.

I returned to the profession in 1992, joining the family accountancy practice, in Redditch, until July 2000, when I left to start my own business, Frontier Systems, which subsequently became a Sage Premier reseller, and offered services in all aspects of Sage and other computerised accounting systems, including sales, installation, setup, training and support.

Increasingly, though, the core business of the company was moving back to the traditional accountancy services, due primarily to the high demand from existing and new clients.

We found that rather than being a Sage based business that did accounts, we were becoming an accountancy firm that specialised in Sage, and, hence the main business was tranferred over to the, rather more appropriately titled; 1st Addition Accountancy Limited.

I am a fully qualified FCCA, and have been a Sage reseller since 1992. I have accumulated a substantial knowledge of business practices over the years, at all levels, and my greatest personal motivation within the business, is the satisfaction obtained when helping a small fledgling business, from it's first steps through it's ongoing growth to it's ultimate success, in whatever form that may be.
