I have a special interest in the topic of social enterprise and the focus of my consulting practice is to assist mission-driven organizations to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset as well as an understanding of and adhere to business disciplines.

I previously served as Executive Director of Family Counseling Service of Durham and Eastern Triad HIV Consortium. While at these organizations I distinguished myself as a skilled problem solver with a well honed ability to manage innovation and change in fast-paced environments. Numerous projects created under my leadership have achieved national and state recognition for innovation including:

Computerizing the process for scheduling, billing, and documenting services from intake to termination for over 800 clients of Family Counseling Service of Durham, Inc.

Acting as the principle founder of the NC Council for Positive Living, a statewide advocacy group for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Developing the first web-based statewide HIV/AIDS resource directory in North Carolina.

Creating and implementing the Positive Impact Network, the first project in the North Carolina to target HIV service providers with information and training related to HIV in NC and beyond.

Developing the first information management system utilized in North Carolina for Ryan White Title II consortia to track and analyze client demographic and service utilization data.
