Al Comeaux is an award-winning corporate communications leader who brings more than two decades in communications and related fields to his counseling practice.
He has extensive experience guiding senior management teams through strategic public relations and business opportunities and directing media relations, messaging, public affairs, crisis, social media, planning, marketing communications/branding, employee/labor communications, financial and international communications, corporate social responsibility and graphic design.
Most recently, Comeaux was senior vice president of corporate communications for Sabre Holdings, where he directed media relations, employee communications, social media, and corporate social responsibility. In this role, he helped Sabre through rapid workforce globalization and major acquisitions, including the purchase of Sabre by private equity firms Silver Lake Partners and TPG.
In Comeaux’s previous role as vice president of public relations at Travelocity, he directed all public relations activity for the online travel agency. In that role, he repositioned Travelocity’s public relations from technology-based messaging to travel-related messaging, including building an extensive program to merchandise the brand’s travel expertise.
Prior to Travelocity, Comeaux worked for American Airlines, where his various positions included leading the airline’s public relations initiatives in Europe and managing its labor public relations activity. Before joining American, Comeaux worked for Conway & Company Public Relations in Washington, D.C., and as press secretary for U.S. Rep. F.I. Sunia.

He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society; he served on the Executive Committee of the Conference Board Council for Communications Strategy; and he is a past member of the Communications Executive Council.
While earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Manship School of Journalism at Louisiana State University, Comeaux won the William Randolph Hearst National Writing Championship, considered the collegiate equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize. His collaborative work has received numerous honors, including the Public Relations Society of America’s highest honor – the Silver Anvil – and recognition for best practice work by the Communications Executive Council and Forrester.
