The network component of my job involved designing the foundational network infrastructure used to authenticate, track and manage clients' connections to the network.
The security component involved designing the first iteration of the security mechanisms to ensure the integrity and security of our network. This involved extensive use of low-level linux programming in harmony with PHP for a usable interface.
I also had the opportunity to put my hobby of rock climbing to use by climbing a handful of antenna towers to install or to maintain some of our long-range wireless equipment.

I gave a a full-credit course, FREN 1100 "First year university French" and received a mean total evaluation of μ = 4.86 out of 5 (with n = 21, σ = 0.49).
I was offered the same course for the 2007-2008 academic year, which opened 2 days before the registration deadline; enrollment was unfortunately insufficient to keep the section open.
