Director of Programming and Special Events at One Southern Indiana
Louisville, Kentucky Area
Upon graduating with my BA in Communication I went directly into event fundraising and did that for several years. When I was hired on at the Southern Indiana Chamber I was looking to get out of "fundraising" and thought I had. About a year into the job that I had been hired for, which was not fundraising, I was asked to help on a project and the rest is history.
I have been leading volunteer committees to develop and impliment events ever since. I love every minute working with the volunteers and take great pride seeing an event grow to its true potential.
Juggling multiple special events and working with volunteer committees to get them planned and implimented.

May 1999 — Present (9 years 8 months)
I wave grown so much at and with One Southern Indiana, formerly the Southern Indiana Chamber. My position has changed over the years as I have been promoted and built a niche for myself here.
I thrive on multi-tasking as I juggle multiple programs throughout the year and love how no day is the same.
I currently coordinate the Minority & Women Business Owners Conference, Business Expo;Youth Entrepreneur Success (YES)Program; Safety, Health, Environmental and HR (SHEHR) Conference and monthly workshops.
As I take care of the sponsorship and volunteer committee involvement for all of these programs, I am always looking for companies that would like to get involved.

Designing stained glass windows, raising my 13 month old daughter and two teenaged stepsons, going to football games, and hanging out with friends and family.
My volunteers honored my by nominating me for Business First's "40 Under 40" awards. Although I was not the recipient of one of the awards, I was just thrilled that they think so highly of me.
