Bill Peldzus is Vice President of Data Center and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery at GlassHouse Technologies, where he is responsible for key client engagements and leadership in the definition and roll-out of key competency areas
Prior to GlassHouse, Bill was a Storage Consulting Marketing Manager and Sr. Storage Architect in Imation Corporation’s Storage Professional Services. Peldzus joined Imation in September of 1999 from StorageTek, where he was the Storage Marketing Consultant for the worldwide StorageTek SAN Operations Business Group.
In his position at Imation, Peldzus was instrumental in the planning, development, staffing and deployment of the Imation Enterprise Storage Assessment Consulting Service and the Imation Storage Networking Lab, two new storage services designed to help simplify storage management challenges for its customers. Specific deliverables included the design, build-out, and process plans for the industry’s first customer-focused, truly independent Storage Networking Lab. He also provided consulting services surrounding the development, marketing and delivery phases of storage assessments and other SAN offerings.
Peldzus was influential in defining Imation’s role and the need for independent storage expertise in an emerging SAN marketplace.
At StorageTek, Peldzus was responsible for all marketing activities for the SAN Operations business groups, including disk, tape and storage networking products. Prior to StorageTek, Peldzus served as Director in the Information Technology Division for CNA Insurance Companies, where he had primary responsibility for the architecture, design, support, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of over 160 Open System servers. Prior to CNA, Peldzus served as Systems Officer at Northern Trust Company, where he ran the Systems Unix and Client/Server Architecture teams.
Bill often serves as content expert in IT Industry presentations, including speaking engagements at Storage Decisions, Comdex, Storage Management, IDC’s StorageVision, Storage Networking World, and Networld+Interop. He is frequently interviewed and quoted by industry trade publications such as InformationWeek, eWeek, InfoStor, Washington Technology, and Network World. In addition, he has led multiple webinars on storage networking issues for both SeachStorage and eWeek.
