Robyn Rebollo was recently appointed as Senior Knowledge Management Specialist for Clayton Utz, one Australia's most successful national law firms. Her former professional position was with the Brisbane Catholic Education Centre, where she led the development of electronic repositories (published works, forms and images) including the metadata structure and federated search capabilities for online services that supported the Centre and affiliated BCE schools.
Prior to her move to Australia in 2006, Ms. Rebollo was the Manager of Library Services for Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP, Washington, D.C. Robyn has worked in law firm settings for most of her information services career. She was an adjunct faculty member for the Catholic University of America's School of Library & Information Science from 2001-2005, teaching a course titled "An Introduction to Law Libraries and Law Library Management." She is a member of the Special Libraries Association -Australia & DC Chapters, and also active in the SLA Legal Division. Robyn holds a Master's degree in Library Science and a Bachelor's degree in English from the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. Project management assignments include the selection, design, metadata structure and successful implementation of the Brisbane Catholic Education Centre’s knowledge-based electronic repository, supported by DB Textworks (InMagic) and DT Search technology. Duties for the e-repository involve the identification of business requirements for both the administrative and search functions of a new database, the supervision and evaluation of the repository’s proof of concept and the creation of publishing policies that coincide with database submission. Team management of the upgrade of the B.C.E.C. current intranet into a Share Point 3.0 portal platform. Responsibilities for the Share Point project include establishing taxonomy structures for B.C.E.C. portal spaces and communities, creating organizational standards for department portals and document management libraries and authoring guidelines for wikis, blogs and RSS aggregators for the Brisbane Catholic Education community.
