I am currently available for business consulting and contracting, either directly or via my company, Timpani Software (see below).
Most of my career has been spent developing software configuration management and application lifecycle management tools. Specifically, my current company specializes in software build management, and I founded or co-founded two companies that produced defect tracking tools.
UPDATED:
In addition to my continuing work on BuildBeat (build management / continuous integration server) I've been doing consulting and customization work for Microsoft Team Foundation Server. If you know anyone deploying TFS that needs help customizing it for their needs, please feel free to refer them to me.

Timpani Software specializes in development tools for agile software development teams. It's flagship product, BuildBeat, is a comprehensive build management system featuring support for continuous integration and unit testing. It's solid relational database architecture provides a central repository for all historical build information, and it's unique asynchronous messaging system provides live, real-time feedback on builds currently in process.

OneVoyce was founded by my friend and long-term colleague and business partner, Bob Pinna. OneVoyce specializes in outsourced sales and marketing solutions for organizations that want to increase sales leads, improve marketing effectiveness, and integrate their sales and marketing systems together for greater business intelligence.
I made an investment in OneVoyce and worked there for a year as a software engineer and architect. Although I decided to pursue my interest in agile software development, I continue to serve on the board of OneVoyce and meet with the management team regularly.

Software Edge produced one of the very first Windows-based defect tracking systems. Originally named Defect Control System, or DCS, the product was renamed to PVCS Tracker when the company was acquired by INTERSOLV in 1994. Later, INTERSOLV merged with MicroFocus to form Merant, which was also acquired by Serena Software in 2003. The PVCS Tracker product line continues to be supported by Serena, though it is being phased out and replaced with TeamTrack.
