Please feel free to connect to me (Kathryn Arbour) at kmarbour@capabilities.com. I established Capabilities with Pam Pressel in 2004. We sell mobility, independence, comfort. We position our products uniquely as lifestyle products, designed for Boomers and their parents. Our product line fills a need for one-stop health shopping with everything from wheelchairs to fitness/strength training tools to an array of comfort products, such as pillows, teas and lotions.
I am LinkedIn for three main reasons:
·We are expanding our business, physical stores and online. We seek people with expertise in retail expansion and e-tailers to invite onto our Advisory Board.
·We are offering investment opportunity to private and professional investors as we expand.
·We look to connect with people in related fields. We are “more than a store," building resources and information both. We have a community space inside the store that we give away to groups of all kinds and offer seminars on a wide variety of topics. Please contact me if you need space (50) for your next meeting or event.
Capabilities is growing steadily. Response from the community is extremely positive.
Recently, I represented Capabilities in the Make Mine a Million $ Business program, designed to encourage women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses beyond $1M. Chosen from a pool of 200 applicants to present in Atlanta in June, we were among 8 companies that received the award package of money, marketing and mentoring.
I have been selected a finalist for the 2007 Outstanding Women in Business Awards sponsored by the Denver Business Journal and area businesses.
In the past, I have played executive roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Vice President of People & Change at an international, privately-held tour and travel company, overseeing change management, organizational development, training, recruiting.
