Associate Director of Public Affairs and Grants Administration
Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area
Over a dozen years of experience as a writer, editor, graphic artist, public relations expert, educator, and community relationship builder in publishing, pharmaceutical advertising, hi-tech marketing, the arts, emerging and new media, and now health and human services.
I volunteer my time with NARAL-NC, AASC and at my child's school (reading and writing). I'm actively a freelance writer with WRAL.com, and my work (writer and/or photographer) has appeared with Our State Magazine, The Apex Herald, The Cary News, The Raleigh Digest, and Bandwidth.com. As a freelance graphic artist I have worked (or am still working for) Vision Share, NARAL-NC, Durham Public Schools, a golf pro, and a florist.
I'm working on finding a literary agent and hope to soon publish novels. I love learning about new industries and meeting all kinds of personalities. What can I say ... I'm drawn to all things creative.
Branding and identity, new product development, business trends, fundraising, arts education, time management, special events planning and execution, relationship building, project/program management, vendor management
