Social Accountability and Sustainable Strategy
Brussels Area, Belgium
My professional interests include the governance and regulation of information and communication services and media. This covers all the questions related to the network industries (audiovisual and telecommunications, on one hand, postal services, energy and human transports, on the other) and their substantial contributions to political and social integration. These interests should include a ideal balance of both theoretical knowledge and professional practice, following an interdisciplinary approach (transcendental philosophy, European theory, social communication and public law).
With regards to my functional resources, my tasks of learning, research and teaching at the Université Libre de Bruxelles provided me with the opportunity to develop and implement scientific projects with Belgian and European partners. In this context, I have acquired skills in public representation and writing and in budgetary and human resources management.
I have enhanced my skills as analyst and project manager during my administrative functions at the Local Government of Brussels and at the Audiovisual Regulatory Authority. Theses institutional practices offered me the opportunity to deepen my expert knowledge (legal, financial, economic and organisational), at local, regional and European levels, in the context of well-hierarchical based organisations and whilst nevertheless keeping a daily dialogue with the market players.
In the area of my personal goals, it is a particular interest of mine to reconcile the theory and practice of information and knowledge society, whatever the particular domain of social activity (political, administrative, academic, artistic or economic). I am looking to face new challenges through complex social problem resolving whilst simultaneously sharing my experience with my colleagues. This is why I want to invest in a new learning curve to extend and broaden my horizon of professional fulfilment.

July 2007 — Present (1 year 6 months)
1/ Role : independant consultant focused on social accountability and sustainable strategy. Two interrelated aspects : management consulting services, on one hand, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), on the other.
2/ Challenge : how CSR may be a business opportunity to build a competitive advantage in a global world and not only a constrainted cost to comply with moral obligations under social pressures ?
3/ Scope : following a coregulation approach, both governemental organisations and business companies are concerned by this strategic transformation towards a effective ethical reliability.
4/ Means : three ways to enhance corporate citizenship following a volontary path and a local communities sensitive approach : legal compliance, projects and process assessment and change management.
