Producer at Voxpop Africa Media
Finland
I have ten years experience in radio in three different countries. I have presented shows in Finnish and English on commercial and community sectors. I have also studied radio in UCE (University of Central England) in Birmingham and currently I co-run an audio production company, Voxpop Africa Media, in South Africa.
I am particularly interested in the practices of community radio, which I have researched at Bush Radio in Cape Town. At Bush Radio I also did my weekly international Hip Hop programme, which was a pilot project for the station when its production moved overseas and was weekly produced from UK with the help of internet.
I am also a photographer and my exhibition ‘Kipepeo’ has been so far in Café Muse (Manchester Museum, UK). I have designed promotional material for South African independent artists and adverts in Finland.
