Andy Sheldon has over 20 years’ experience in delivering products and services to the telecommunications and media industries. Sheldon thinks strategically, executes tactically, and constantly delivers exceptional results. Sheldon is recognized as a thought leader in advanced advertising business models and technologies. A regular public speaker and published author, Sheldon has held increasingly senior product and corporate marketing positions at leading technology companies.
Most recently, Sheldon was vice president and general manager for the Broadband and Wireless division at Visible World. Sheldon managed market research, market-focused product strategy, and sales and marketing programs for Visible World’s initiative to extend its IntelliSpot technology to other distribution platforms. Prior to joining Visible World, Sheldon was the executive director of Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment marketing at Sun Microsystems. Sheldon managed strategy and market-focused activities for Sun in its $4B telecommunications business.
Prior to Sun Microsystems, Sheldon held a number of senior marketing roles at Microsoft Corporation. Sheldon was responsible for the IPTV and cable applications and services initiatives at Microsoft TV, and was senior director of product management and marketing at MSN TV. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sheldon was the founder and Chief Marketing Officer of 365 Media, a developer of Software as a Service (SaaS) products for the business publishing industry. Before 365 Media he served as director of entertainment marketing for Silicon Graphics (SGI) where he oversaw the product development and marketing strategy for the film, broadcast, postproduction, audio and game development markets. He was vice president of marketing for Pinnacle Systems where he managed product and corporate strategy and marketing, and was instrumental in their successful entry into the desktop video market and initial public offering in 1994.
