Mark E. Mendenhall holds the J. Burton Frierson Chair of Excellence in Business Leadership at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Dr. Mendenhall is an internationally recognized scholar in the field of global leadership assessment and development and international human resource management. He is a partner in The Kozai Group, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in assisting companies in assessing and developing the global skills and competencies of their managerial cadre. The Kozai Group's assessment inventories and training program design are based on empirical research and provide the necessary rigor in content to ensure actual development of competencies associated with global leadership, global mindset, and strategic thinking.
Dr. Mendenhall has published over 50 academic journal articles in such journals as Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Sloan Management Review, Human Relations, Organizational Dynamics, Human Resource Management, Management International Review, Journal of Management Inquiry. He has also authored/edited the following books, most recently:
