I'm a math major at Reed and I'm focusing on theoretical CS, specifically on a distributed process algebra called the pi-calculus. I will be completing my thesis and course of studies in the spring, 2008. I currently maintain a 3.8 GPA and have achieved academic commendations for every term thus far.
I started developing desktop applications using Cocoa/Objective-C about 6 years ago, and I have since released a number of free/open source applications for the Mac community. As a Mac developer, I have a constant eye towards user experience, and I understand that this factors alone can make or break a program.
I started doing web development some 8 years back, and have worked on several project using MySQL, XML, Java, Webobjects, and PHP. In early 2006 I started using Ruby on Rails. Since then I have led development of one Rails app for an independent client and worked as a contractor for a Portland-based Rails startups. I recently completed a internship using with Kongregate, a successful San Francisco startup in the casual gaming scene. In all of my work, the focus has been on agile, user-driven development; good practices and solid testing have ensured success when working at a quick pace.
Experienced with Macintosh development using Objective-C/Cocoa and Apple’s development tools, Ruby on Rails, Webobjects, Java,C++, AJAX/Javascript. Passionate about writing world-class software.

I worked as an intern at Kongregate, a San Francisco startup providing user-generated games that features revenue-sharing, social networking, and multi-player games. I successfully developer a Facebook application using Rails, and contributed to the development on the main site on the side.
