I study public choice: the economics of government decision making. Current projects include MP committee selection under MMP, voter ignorance and policy preferences, election and policy stock markets as information aggregation mechanisms.
I teach courses in Economics and Current Policy Issues (ranging from labour markets to crime and punishment and discrimination) and Public Choice. I have previously taught courses in Microeconomic Theory, Comparative Economic Systems, and Research Methods.
