Well I am an old man Internet wise here in San Diego. Back in the day before PINT I was the sys admin for CERFnet, then the programmer who built their UI, then sales, etc. It was a different time where Internet access was a Unix shell and everybody had to sign the acceptable use policy form. However, that was over 15 years ago and these days teaching, writing and running two firms keeps me quite busy. I am always curious those who wonder why I am still doing this, what should I be doing instead? It hasn't gotten smaller or less interesting that's for sure!
Goal wise, my only goal would be maybe to have more time and resources to realize lots of ideas that get to rattle around half-baked until I get to them.

Trying to keep the lid on a growing Web dev agency that serves corporations all over the country ought to be my full-time job, and if it weren't for the talented staff here it would probably overwhelm me. PINT has come a long ways from a few people in a small room in Pacific Beach, today we have nearly 50 employees, two buildings and continuous work on many of the largest sites in southern California and well beyond. Now if only we could get some time to work on our own sites!

1993 — Present (15 years)
I initially taught introduction to the Internet classes back in 1993/1994. However, I quickly moved to primarily teach HTML and related topics by mid-1994. Later I wrote a number of books to support that effort including HTML: The Complete Reference, JavaScript: The Complete Reference, and Web Design: The Complete Reference. These days I have passed on the introduction courses to a few fellow instructors and I am mostly teaching Ajax and JavaScript courses though I do teach other courses or seminars on occasion.
