I kept saying: there's got to be a better way to do this. There was. There always is.

Funny how making things work better led to Design Patterns which led to Application Frameworks which led to Development Process which led to Software Product Lines which is leading to, well, I'll let you know when I get there.

Along the way - mostly through mistakes - I've learned the best software comes from the best people who know enough about themselves to know they need a good process but are too darn stubborn to be a slave to it.

Oh yeah - and if I make people better, they create better software.
