My goal:
To design and implement empowering user experiences/applications using information and communications technologies.
Recent experience:

I developed gaze contingent displays for autistic toddlers in an effort to correct their gaze behavior. During this period, we developed an automated eye tracker calibration method which at the time was one of the first that did not require the user to follow calibration instructions. I also implemented 3D virtual environments for therapy, for e.g., a virtual mall for individuals with social cognitive deficits to navigate in and interact with virtual objects. My papers during this period are available at the IEEE/ACM digital library.

I conceptualized and developed assistive technologies based on spatial sound (3D 'out of the head' sounds) and virtual touch (haptics) for visually impaired individuals. Most of my papers during this period is available at the IEEE/ACM digital library.
