Additionally, I am very active in the Latino community in Wilkes-Barre as a resource for community and social service programs and agencies. I recently Co-Chaired the very successful Fiesta Latina de San Juan held June 28th in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

I can be found weekend nights running the American Legion Post 673 kitchen in Ashley, where I am a member. I do it because cooking and delighting others through culinary creations is in my blood. The stuffed mushrooms have gained legendary fame.

In my rather eclectic past I have managed a timeshare salesroom, owned 2 cafés and was the Pastry Chef, created a children's free lunch program and founded an SPCA all in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I worked at a Spanish language TV affiliate of Telemundo, WTGI-61 and the now defunct Spanish language magazine El Espetacular in Philadelphia. I spent a glorious year teaching English as a Second Language in Mallorca, Spain.

My next important project is the creation of La Casa NEPA, a non-profit association to benefit the Latino community in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. It's been in a draft on my hard drive for 3 years....the need has grown with the fast changing demographic in this region. It's time to move on it.

I would need many lifetimes to accomplish everything I would like to so I must pick and choose carefully in this one since I am thinking I am only getting one shot....
