I'm a strategic copywriter and communication strategies planner in advertising since 1969, and freelancing from 1983 as a consultant for advertising and web agencies, bur occasionally I also accept direct clients.
I write my copy in English, French, Italian and German, off-line as much as for the Web and for site contents.
To me David Ogilvy's principle, "Not rules, fools, tools" still is capital. And I don't believe in pure creativity, but only in the one suitable to objectives.

Dorland-Ayer was one of the top 20 advertising agencies in Italy. As a copywriter I was responsible for their house organ and took care of smaller customers. I was also responsible for their marketing information department, leading two persons and supplying information to about 10 different workgroups for all the agency's clients, evaluating market polls as well, and suggesting strategies.

I founded Datamedia on behalf of the owners to create Radar 87, the first independent research made in Italy on radio audiences. I held the position until 1988, when the company was sold.

Lizard was a small advertising agency in Rome where I was in charge of the Sales Promotion deparment. I left Rome and returned to Milan after Lizard was bought by Dorland, for whom I eventually worked a few years later.

Billing Milano, the daughter company of Billing s.r.l. of Turin, was a small Advertising Agency where I worked as account executive for two years, bringing several new customers to the agency. I left when I was offert to work for Lizard in Rome at better conditions.

S.I.T.R.A. was the owner of TeleMontePenice, one of the very first privately owned TV companies in Italy. As I had previous experience in amateur radio broadcasting, I vas offered to assit the chairman in developing the business. I also produced several shows.

When Generaltexitl closed, I joined Tecotim, it's successor, and held the same position until the owner's death in 1979. My main duty was to establish contact with potential foreign customers for our sales representatives to visit, and to prepare all the below the line advertising items the companey would need.

Generaltextil was the prime textile trader between Italy and former Yougoslavia, billing over 20 million US dollars a year. My duty was to prepare adverting materials and trade fairs participations for the company, as well as publicity, including relations with local newspapers and journalists.
Sales Management 1980 — 1981
Politecnico del Commercio had several business courses. After the course in marketing I took the previous year, I decided to upgrade my knowledge of sales techniques as well, so I attended their sales management lessons.
Marketing and adverising 1979 — 1980
At the time IED was one of the best known schools in Italy for graphics and design. They opened a yearly evening course on marketing and advertising, I attended feeling that my marketing knowledge was weak. I prepared a thesis on sponsoring wich obtained 96/100.
Marketing and Advertising 1969 — 1970
Ecole des Cadres was the leading French-speakng business school in Switzerland. I attended a one year couse in marketing and advertising that reached its climax when the whole class jointly prepared and actualized a test campaign for Nestlé.
