Michel Mullejans’s Summary
Michel worked extensively in the pharmaceutcial and medical electronics industries before being professionally trained by Hewlett-Packard France as a French translator in Orsay, near Paris. HP dispatched Michel to their Corvallis, Oregon, Personal Computer Division, where Michel learned HP calculators and computers "from the ground up," starting with Bill Gates' MS-DOS. Michel decided to leave HP in 1991 to become a US-based, independent French translator. Outside of his main specialty, medical, Michel has translated many books, articles and user manuals on various subjects, from ergonomics to aviation, from tourism brochures to dissertations.
Michel is also a private pilot with IFR rating who has flown many different types of gliders and planes; he likes British motorcycles (he once owned a Triumph 650), horses, and Spanish guitars. He lives in the Northwest, and enjoys fishing and kayaking on the many rivers and lakes of his much loved state of residence: Oregon.

My background is in medical sales, where I worked for thirteen years (Merck & Co., Picker International Corp., Hewlett-Packard France / Medical Group) and computing (Hewlett-Packard / Corvallis Division). I was first trained and employed as a French translator by Hewlett-Packard France in 1983.
