FX Animator and Developer. Responsible for scripting systems and pipeline solutions to address current and future shows' needs and for creation, integration, and timely delivery of special effects shots. Shows contributed to include "Shrek the Halls", "Madagascar 2", and "Kung-Fu Panda".
Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center:
Producer of the ETC Animation Studio. With a group of students, founded a project to assist both internal and external clients with 2D and 3D art needs, including animation, concept art, special effects, and full asset creation. Responsibilities included acquiring and maintaining ongoing communication with clients, scheduling and balancing over twelve simultaneous projects, overseeing production and timely delivery, and developing technical pipeline solutions.
Technical director on the VIS team. Researched new technologies, wrote new tools and MEL scripts for Maya (automated rigging, crowd simulation), and assisted other artists with implementing pipeline solutions.
3D Artist for a short animation created for Give Kids the World theme park. Helped create a six-minute animated short which is currently being screened at the theme park in Florida. Primary responsibilities included 3D modeling, rigging, and animation, with additional responsibilities in character design, shader networks, special effects, rendering and compositing.
In-depth understanding of the computer graphics pipeline. Strong programming skills. Generalist knowledge of the Maya animation pipeline, with specialty in scripting and tool design and thorough experience with 3D modeling, rigging, animation, shader networks and special effects.
