Patrick van der Smagt’s Summary

Patrick van der Smagt has focused his scientific work on learning systems for robotics. He has built up a bionics group at the Institute of Robotics and Dynamics of the German Aerospace Center, which he joined in 1995. He has received 8M€ funding for his work, and has guided various Ph.D. students and many master students.
