Renee Inomata’s Summary

Chair of the Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits Group at Burns & Levinson LLP. Partner and also a member of the Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups.

Law practice focuses on counseling clients on all aspects of workplace law, developing and applying employment policies; negotiating and drafting employment-related agreements; investigating discrimination and harassment claims; and advising employers on hiring, disciplining and terminating employees. Also, litigate employment disputes and develop and conduct educational workshops and training for harassment and discrimination awareness.

Intellectual property practice includes all aspects of securing, obtaining, enforcing and maintaining trademark, service mark, trade dress and trade secret rights and copyrights. Also includes various e-commerce and Internet matters related to website development, trademarks, service marks and copyrights and patent infringement litigation.

Frequent speaker on Employment and Intellectual Property matters and "women in the law" subjects, including chairing the trademark panel for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s Annual Intellectual Property Conference, the New England Chinese Information and Network Association (NECINA) Information Security Conference and most recently at the Women’s Bar Association Law Student Committee’s annual conference entitled Women in Law: Options and Opportunities and on the a panel on "Evolving as a Leader" at the 2006 ASPIRE Asian American Women in Leadership Conference.

Member of the American, Massachusetts, Boston and Women’s Bar Associations and the International Trademark Association.
