Principal Systems Analyst at AOL
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Having been with AOL, in various roles, since January 1999 I have gained extensive experience in several areas of the company.
This includes Vendor Management at AOL UK where I acted as primary liaison to companies such as MCI, BT, Energis, Cable & Wireless, NTL. In addition to this I also provided much of the analysis, tools, and automation for my group in order to manage our day to day performance management of the UK Network.
Upon moving to AOL US I originally supported the European business units from a performance management and capacity planning perspective, eventually moving into a more technical role and acting as Network Architect for the eventual sale of AOL Europes access businesses.
Having obtained an RHCE, a short stint of System Administration allowed me to familiarize myself with the web based side of the AOL business. Once again, leveraging my international experience, my initial focus was AOL portal expansion into many new geographies including the EU, Australia and China while supporting the existing international properties.
Eventually, following many successful launches, I switched to another area of focus, away from the portals to my current role. This role is to manage the AOL CDN relationships and configurations as well as administer, configure and maintain our layer 4 to layer 7 edge devices in the US and around the world.
