Mr. Brusca is Vice President of Benefits for The Black & Decker Corporation. The Black & Decker Corporation, a Fortune 300 company, is a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of power tools, door knobs, faucets, and fastening systems. Worldwide, The Black & Decker Corporation has 27,000 employees and annual revenues of $7 billion.
Mr. Brusca has responsibility for the design, compliance, communication, implementation and administration of all welfare and retirement benefits for all U.S. based employees and retirees. This encompasses a welfare benefits plan valued at over $100 million annually (covering 35,000 lives) and retirement trusts valued at over $1.5 billion (providing benefits to 12,000 current retirees; 8,000 deferred vested former employees; and 8,000 current employees). Additionally, Mr. Brusca has responsibility for the PeopleSoft HRIS system, executive perquisite programs, non-qualified deferred compensation programs, employee stock purchase plans, and the review and approval of all employee benefits for 19,000 employees located outside of the U.S. Extensive merger and acquisition experience having participated in over 50 acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Brusca is a nationally recognized expert in the employee benefits and executive compensation fields, with a specialty in the area of innovative health benefits design, administration and funding. He serves as a Commissioner on the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission as well as Trustee on the Towson University Board of Visitors.
Mr. Brusca holds a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law (1984) and a B.S. in Political Science from Towson University (1980).
