Rob is the Head of the Telecoms Integrated Operator Group for the Orange FT Group. This role covers Telecoms sourcing for countries with both a fixed and mobile network, such as the UK, Switzerland, Belguim, Poland, Spain and the Ukraine.
Rob's joined the Global Enterprise sourcing function within Orange Business Service, specifically the Outsourcing Projects Team in July of 2007.
EMEA operations Manager was Rob’s sixth role at IBM. His previous role was the management of all the cost reduction and efficiency projects within network Service Delivery for EMEA. Rob reported directly to the EMEA Director for NSD.
Rob was also the EMEA Purchased Telecoms Manager, this role included working to define strategy for Telecoms procurement for new deals across EMEA, along with providing cost take out strategies across the region and vendor life cycle management functions including Compliance.
Previously, Rob was the North Region PTSL manager and prior to that Rob was the Manager with responsibility for networking across the UK. Rob has managed the teams looking after several major customers’ networks and the networks supporting the eBusiness infrastructure both National and Internationly.
Rob’s technical knowledge extends to implementing networks and network security and compliance controls within an outsourced environment along with auditing the delivery of those standards. Rob also has had experience of IT crime and investigation within a multi-national corporation.
Rob graduated with a first class degree in Construction Management from Liverpool University. Rob also gained a Ph.D. in Financial Management from Liverpool University, during this time Rob published five papers in the field of Financial Management.
