Several years of rousting and jousting. I passed some time in England, France and Wales; learned a lot, met some great people and generally took any job I could find - hacking or otherwise. Some of the more esoteric included opening a magic shop that sold crystal balls and anti-vampire incense; being a sound, light and special effects engineer; comedy ballet troupe member and World War Two remembrance choir singer; playing Laser Tag for the national Welsh team; and running a gourmet French patisserie. My all-time favourite has to be translator for a group of chefs from every country in Europe visiting a subterranean mushroom farm in south west France.
