Founder of the dotmatrix project
Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina Area
I've been designing interactive experiences since 1993 and have been a working information architect since 1998. My consultancy, dotmatrix, focuses on helping organizations understand today's internet and the opportunities available to connect with and serve their customers, client and/or constituents.
I'm open to projects ranging from designing full services to one-day presentations and/or strategy sessions.
My after hours gig is the dotmatrix project, which is a localized effort to promote original musicians via the talents of local artists while helping define the foundations for what a next-gen music label needs to be.
* User experience design (interaction design, information architecture)
* Game design (narrative script, level design, event sequencing)
* Design management (team building, mentoring, directing and evaluating, vision definition, presentation and evolution)
* Live music recording, mixing, marketing, music videos
(Music industry)
April 2008 — Present (7 months)
the dotmatrix project is a collective of artists -- musicians, photographers, filmmakers, sound engineers -- who dig live music.
We put on shows with bands local to North Carolina and document the evening with live albums, music videos and show photography.
In 2009 we plan on expanding to focus on a collective music blog, a hyper-local event service and potentially, a for hire service to document bands outside the NC area.
