I'm an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in more than 50 national publications, including Newsweek, Popular Science, Family Circle, Wired, Playboy.com, and a passel of technology rags. Really, I get exhausted just thinking about it.
See my website (www.tynanwood.com) or my Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Tynan) for the nitty gritty on my professional career. Buy my book, Computer Privacy Annoyances (www.privacyannoyances.com). See my blog, The WitList (witlist.blogspot.com) just for fun.
waffling, prevaricating, procrastinating, extemporizing, fulminating, hectoring, pedantic tirades, and sarcasm.

2006 — Present (2 years)
I write the occasional tech-centric piece for Hanley Wood's Digital Home magazine.

January 2004 — Present (4 years 9 months)
I write the monthly Our Digital Life column for US Airways' inflight magazine. This is a new column that starts with the May 2007 issue (replacing my old gadget column, TechSmart). In ODL I talk about near-term tech trends and their impact on us bipeds, hopefully in a less pretentious way than I just did.

December 2003 — Present (4 years 10 months)
I write the monthly Gadget Freak column for PC World, wherein I try out cutting edge gizmos and try not to get myself electrocuted. I am constantly in need of AA batteries.

January 2000 — Present (8 years 9 months)
I write for a wide range of magazines and Web sites -- too many to list here. I focus primarily on technology and its discontents, with particular emphasis on the Internet, privacy and security issues, and customer service. I also write about parenting and politics. Goofy first-person humor is a speciality, but I'm also a first-rate investigative journalist when the story calls for it.

(Public Company; 501-1000 employees; Writing and Editing industry)
2006 — 2007 (1 year)
I write six articles a year for Family Circle magazine on technology as it relates to families. That typically includes a year end gadget guide.

May 1996 — December 1999 (3 years 8 months)
For nearly four years I terrorized the Features department of PC World magazine, making life a living hell for 4 to 6 editors. Some escaped to other publications, some were driven into exile, and one of them is now Editor in Chief at PCW. During my tenure we did manage to take home more journalism awards than any other tech-centric magazine (not that anybody's counting), so that must count for something.
